PRATOZANINO... YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW.

In 1908 began the construction work for the complex of pavilions that would host the Pratozanino’s asylum. This huge structure, which occupied an entire Cogoleto’s hill, was used for the hospitalization of patients with various psychiatric disorders; was a very large complex that included everything: shops, laboratories, growing vegetables, raising animals... an autonomous community!

Since 1978, with the entry into force of the Basaglia Law, its slowly began the closure of hospital wards which ended in 1998.

With the sale of the pavilions, GIESSE TECHNOLOGY decide to invest in one of these old structures in order to expand and transfer the already existing company, creating an advanced technologically area in continuos evolving.
The GIESSE TECHNOLOGY pledge, for the future, is to continue with the restructuring of the pavilion but without forget the interesting history hidden behind the gates and walls of the structure.
